My name Dracaena comes from the Greek word drakaina, which means female dragon.

I contain a resin in my stem which was compared to dragons blood due to the red gum-like quality.

For many centuries, I was used for dyes, medicine, and even toothpaste. However, my modern uses are limited mostly to creating varnish and photo engraving.

Make sure you keep your fluffy friends in mind while choosing me as your new houe plant, pets tend to get sick after they eat me.

I'm sold as seen in the photo, with pot and stand.
